curtis and partners
A professional consultancy offering a fresh approach to family change
About Us
curtis and partners is a professional consultancy offering a fresh approach to managing family change, especially when family change interacts with the law.
“Family change” may refer to a divorce or separation, bringing up children as independent or separated parents,
managing changes to the family finances after loss of a loved one or after separation,
dealing with intergenerational issues and/or matters of capacity, and more.
We offer practical guidance and strategic support to those who are thinking about or
experiencing such changes to their family life and we do so in the context of what the law might say.
Our service, established in 2014, is professional, personalised, cost effective and flexible.
We help you through what are often turbulent periods of change by bringing practical common sense,
emotional support, and knowledge of finance and the law to sensitive family matters.
We help you make good decisions when faced with the difficulties and challenges of family change.
We look forward to working with you.
Family Change and The Law
Family change often bumps into the law, whether it be family law with regard to divorce, financial settlement or arrangements for children, or tax law, probate and/or other.
The law is complex and is not “user-friendly” for those who are not legally skilled or experienced. Engaging in legal procedures is often stressful and demanding. Using solicitors and barristers and other professionals can be very costly.
curtis and partners was founded by a qualified lawyer and our consultants are knowledgeable about the law. We believe it is essential that our consultants understand the law and family procedures in order to assist our clients.
We prefer non-court based solutions and we work hard to keep your family matter away from the court.
We believe the best solution to any family change is the solution designed by the family members themselves and not the one designed by the lawyers.

At curtis and partners we know how important it is to feel informed before making big decisions about family life.
We believe that despite how difficult family change can be, it is a time of transition that has the potential to unlock personal growth and positive development.
We care about the people who come to us and we aim to deliver a personal and compassionate service to all.
The CURTIS PARTNERS CAFE
Every fortnight we host an online meeting to bring people together in a relaxed safe space to voice and talk openly about anything to do with family change, especially where family change bumps into the law.
We liken these online chats to meeting up in a café for a friendly chat about common themes over tea or coffee.
We sometimes theme these meetings to guide our chats and we sometimes invite other family professionals to join our meetings to offer their point of view.
Why not join us for online to share stories with others about family change.
